Delicious Chicken Momo
Chicken momos are a popular Tibetan dish that has become a favorite in many parts of the world.
Here’s a simple recipe for chicken momo

Ingredients
200gm chicken
1 ½ cup all purpose flour
1 ½ cup finely chopped onions
1 tbsp ginger and garlic paste
½ tsp pepper powder
few chopped coriander leaves
few stems of spring onions.
Red chillies – 3 to 4 nos.
Tomato – 1 nos.
Garlic – 5 cloves
½ tsp chilli powder
Oil
Vinegar
Sugar
Salt as required
Getting it done:
For the stuffing:
- Add 2 cups of water to the chicken and cook.
- Knead 1 ½ cup all-purpose flour & ¼ tsp salt and keep it aside.
- Heat a pan and add 2 tsp oil. When hot add 1 ½ cup finely chopped onions and sauté for 2 minutes.
- Add 1 tbsp ginger and garlic paste and sauté.
- Now add the cooked finely chopped chicken pieces along with ½ tsp pepper powder.
- Add salt if required.
- Add few chopped coriander leaves and spring onions.
To prepare Momo
- Divide the dough into small balls. Roll each ball into thin circles
- Place the stuffing in centre and pleat.
- Grease the steamer with oil.
- Place the momo’s and steam cook for 10 to 15 minutes
To prepare Momo
- Soak the 3-4 nos. of red chillies for 1 hour
- Cook 1 tomato and the red chillies.
- Remove the skin of tomato and grind along with 5 cloves garlic, ½ tsp chilli powder.
- Now heat a pan and add 2 tsp oil. When hot, add the mixture.
- Add 1 tsp sugar and salt as required.
- Add 3 drops of vinegar and it’s done.
