Nature's Embrace

The cool breeze and sweet aroma of coffee welcomed me as I arrived in Chikkamagaluru. Among the verdant coffee plantations, I checked into a cozy homestay that offered a serene ambiance and warm hospitality. My first stop was to explore the surroundings after a quick rest.

The first stop was Mullayanagiri, the highest peak in Karnataka. It was absolutely breathtaking to see the misty valleys stretching far away from the summit from the summit. As the highest peak in Chikmagalur, Mullayanagiri boasts an unmatched beauty.

The dense foliage and abundant vegetation provide a natural habitat for a diverse range of flora and fauna. Keep your eyes open for glimpses of colorful birds perched on branches or listen attentively for the sounds of mammals.  

Unwinding in Nature’s Lap On my final day in Chikkamagaluru, I decided to relax and soak in the tranquility of nature. I headed to Bhadra Wildlife Sanctuary, a pristine haven brimming with biodiversity. A serene boat ride on the Bhadra River allowed me to witness the beauty of the sanctuary, with its lush forests and the chance to spot rare bird species like the Malabar trogon and great hornbill.

The captivating beauty of the park left me in awe, with its cascading waterfalls and verdant valleys.

Forest department organizes Jeep Safari inside Bhadra Tiger Reserve. Forest Safari in Bhadra has a high probability of tiger and leopard spotting as over 30 tigers and 20 leopards are based in Bhadra Wildlife Sanctuary. 

Chikkamagaluru boasts an impressive array of wildlife, making it a paradise for nature enthusiasts and wildlife lovers. The forests and reserves in the region provide a safe haven for several endangered species.

I visited ancient temples in Chikkamagaluru to explore its spiritual side. Intricate carvings, a peaceful atmosphere, and the divine blessings of the temple left me feeling spiritually uplifted.

Chikkamagaluru, with its untouched natural beauty, coffee plantations, and spiritual sanctuaries, captivated my heart and soul. This tranquil hill station provided the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. Whether you’re a nature lover, an adventure enthusiast, or a seeker of serenity, Chikkamagaluru offers an abundance of experiences that will leave you yearning for more.
